“Taboo or Not Taboo?”
“The European Biennale of Contemporary Art, created by the association LE MANIF in 1997, is an exceptional event in our Departement - Gard - and in Languedoc-Roussillon, our region. The initial idea was to create an innovative demonstration constantly evolving, gathering, in a specific time and in several places (private, public and heritage), a broad range of creation in the field of contemporary art.
These artistic moments are made of routes and meetings, and they are totally free for the artists and the visitors. They have been created to be accessible for everyone and they are particularly adapted for handicapped people.
This year, we are paying special attention to young artists from within any discipline who, in their proposal, show promise for the future.
With this event, we hope to offer to contemporary art in all its forms (visual and living arts) a stage wide open for discovery and innovation.
With time, we want this laboratory to show the best and the most recent of contemporary artistic reflection.”
The association.
